A+ on the test: A book or character that makes you smile?

The Kane Chronicles series by Rick Riordan makes me smile because I remember spending most of my middle school years putting on my favorite parts of the audiobook in order to go to sleep, and reading the new books as they came out.

The Kane Chronicles Set Kane chronicles series

Sports Team: A fictional family that you would like to be a part of?

Okay so this one came to me immediately. When I was younger, I used to even play with dolls or just my imagination pretending I was a part of this family. They always seemed to be so brave and I wanted to grow up to be just like them. There was always a character that was close to me in age and that I could relate to, and although I didn’t read the whole series I think I got pretty close at one point. And this family would be the Boxcar Children family!

The Boxcar Children

Class President: A book that tries to make a difference?

For this I have a tie. They take place in two different countries about two completely different issues, but they both had an impact on my life and gave me an amazing reading experience. These are The Hate U Give and Sold

High School Sweetheart: A Book character you have a crush on?

Jest from Heartless, Mal from Shadow and Bone, and Akos from Carve the Mark. And that’s just off the top of my head. If I keep thinking the list will keep stretching.

Prom Night: A book with a beautiful cover?

This is hard for me because I usually don’t pick up a book based on the cover, but more on the title or the writing on the back. In fact I often take the covers off of my hardcover books. I just always watched the cartoons like Arthur where everyone had the same red or blue books, no art on the covers, and I just like my books that way I suppose. But if I had to choose a pretty book cover, I would choose A Thousand Pieces of You, Defy The Stars, and Flame in the Mist. Just look at the colors! They all look so beautiful. But if I owned any of these books, I probably would have still taken their covers off anyways :P.

Spring Break: A book you can always turn to if you need an escape?

I am going to name a few series. The series I would turn to would be Chronicles of Narnia, Harry Potter, or Twilight. If I could only choose one book from each series it would be The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe; Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, and Twilight.

School Lunch: A book character(s) you want to have lunch with?

Sadie Kane from Kane Chronicles, Annabeth from Percy Jackson, Cyra from Carve the Mark, Tris from Divergent, Clary from The Mortal Instruments,Nancy from Nancy Drew, and Mare from Red Queen. I would make it a huge, fun, strong book girls luncheon.

Halloween Party: A character you would like to be for one day?

I would like to be….Elle from Geekerella. I don’t want to go to a fantasy world or a mystery world or a world where I have to do ANY real work. I just want to go to a world where I can just relax, and all I have to worry about is having a nice boyfriend! And great friends! That would be amazing.

School Bully: A villain you don’t want to go to school with?

I don’t really know if I can answer this one. I just…I would want to go to school with all the villains of my stories! In high school they might be a bit more annoying than usual but in middle or elementary school it would have been interesting to get a little more of their backstory and see what made them “evil”. Who knows, maybe if someone befriended them at an early age, maybe they wouldn’t have become a villain! Not to mention all of their drama would be great fun to watch :3

Graduation: A book with a bittersweet conclusion?

Shadow and Bone. But then again, I haven’t finished the series….meh usually endings are just bitter or nice to me! I can’t find an in-between  TnT

Unique Blogger Award!

I was nominated by JessicaMarie493 to do this! Thank you, I love getting awards/doing book tags!

The Rules

  1. Share the link of the blogger who has shown love to you by nominating you.
  2. Answer the questions.
  3. In the spirit of sharing love and solidarity with our blogging family, nominate 8-13 people for the same award.
  4. Ask them three questions.

My Questions

Current Favorite Song/Album?

This is super hard because so many songs/albums are coming out now. I am stuck between Paramore’s After Laughter and Harry Styles’s “Harry Styles” (yeah I know SUCH a unique name for an album XD). I just really like certain songs on there, for example “Hard Times”, “Told You So”, “Sign of the Times”, and more Harry Styles songs that I cannot remember the name of for the life of me. I wasn’t a Directioner, I didn’t dislike their songs but I didn’t particularly love them either, but I do like Harry as a solo artist.

Other hobbies besides reading and blogging?

I occasionally enjoy playing video games. Recently I have had to choose between playing games or reading as with school I have just not been able to make time to do both and actually make progress in either. I also like to knit and crochet, but gosh I haven’t done that in almost a year now, again due to time constraints. If I had no time constraints I would split my time giving 60% of my waking day to reading, 20% to making crafts while watching movies or TV shows, 10% to playing video games, and 10% to cooking delicious food and eating.

Favorite book you’ve read in 2017 so far?

I am going to alter this slightly to favorite book that I have read that came out in 2017, simply because I have read 55 books so far this year and have loved almost all of them. At least by limiting the year I can limit the number. My favorites that came out in 2017 are Geekerella, The Hate U Give, Flame in the Mist, and….yeah! That’s about it!

Questions for YOU!

  1. If you were stranded on a desert island and could only bring 1 book series with you for the amount of time you would be stuck there, which book series would you bring? — For me I would definitely bring the Maximum Ride series. Simply because I need to reread it and what would be a better chance to do so than when on a deserted island?
  2. Who is your least favorite book character? — I don’t have a character right now that I just completely dislike.
  3. Who gave you your love for reading?—For me, my love for reading came from my parents who always encouraged me to read, even teaching me how to do so at 4 years old. Seeing my dad always reading made me want to copy him, and soon copying Dad just turned into doing my own thing.

Zombie Apocalypse Book Tag

the_most_charming_zombie___warm_bodies__r__by_jawswolf-d5tojgp

Thank you @meltingpotsandothercalamities for tagging me to do this book tag!

The rules are

  1. Choose 5 books
  2. Randomly set up your books in order
  3. Flip to a random page in the book and write the first two names you see
  4. Put the names in the categories listed below in the order you saw them
  5. See how crazy it gets

My Books Are

  1. Kings Cage by Victoria Aveyard
  2. We Were Liars by E. Lockhart
  3. Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer
  4. The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis
  5. Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s stone by J.K Rowling

The First Person To Die

MAVEN FROM KINGS CAGE! From the part I am at currently in the book, I am not upset by this outcome at all. I dunno if I have to feel bad for him or something by the end, but I am satisfied with his death right now.

The Person You Trip to Escape the Zombies

The Colonel from Kings Cage/Farley’s Dad. I mean….Farley would be sad…possibly…but I am also fine with this.

The Person that Trips You to Escape the Zombies

Mirren from We Were Liars. I mean…well…..I’m just gonna leave this here.

The Team Idiot

Johnny from We Were Liars. This actually fits him perfectly. I see nothing wrong.

The Brains of the Group

Artemis Fowl from Artemis Fowl. This totally makes sense, I know my life would be in good hands with a child genius like him in charge.

The Team Medic

Juliet from Artemis Fowl. The Butler’s younger sister/Artemis’ mother’s maid. I mean, she may be able to do it.

The Weapons Expert

Lucy from The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. This isn’t horrible, She had years of fighting in Narnia to increase her knowledge of weapons. However, she didn’t exactly have the most powerful weapons either.

The Team Brawler

Mr. Beaver from the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. This is horrible. What is a beaver going to do? Bite and awkwardly smack its opponents around until it tires out? Geez this is like the worst placement.

The First to Turn Into a Zombie

Hermione Granger from Harry Potter and the philosopher’s stone. Nope. She isn’t stupid enough to be the first one. I refuse to accept this.

The Team Leader

Ron Weasley from Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s stone. Nope. He didn’t even start showing real leadership skills until near the end of the series. There is no way that 11 year old Ron could have lead the team.

I tag: Everyone Who Hasn’t Done This! AND I MEAN EVERYONE!
